SPRING HOPE, NC--Mrs. April Hodge Mullen, 70, of Spring Hope passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at her home. She was born on June 24, 1954, in Franklin County, NC to the late Bloies and Marie Goodwin Hodge.

April is survived by her husband, Gregory Mullen of the home; her two sons, Jeffrey Mullen (Rosa) of Spring Hope and Timothy Mullen (Jennifer) of Bailey; her five grandchildren, Chassidy Summerfield (David), Lee Mullen (Casie), Seth Mullen, Ethen Mullen, and Gregory Mullen and her special friend, Susan Kearney.

April retired as a bookkeeper and accountant with over forty-five years of service. She was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Zebulon and had been a long-standing member of Franklinton Baptist Church before moving out of the area. April loved the beach, going shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. She was married to her husband and the love of her life, Gregory for fifty years. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to be made in her memory to Franklinton Baptist Church, Franklinton NC.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services of Louisburg.
