FRANKLINTON, NC -- Vickie Dale Kearney, 79, of Franklinton, died February 28, 2025 at Duke University Medical Center.
Dale was born in Vance County on October 10, 1945 to the late Herbert S. and Margaret P. Kearney. In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mary Iva Ray Kearney; and his sister, Jean Lowery.
Dale is survived by his daughter, Kelly Woodlief (Alex); his son, Herbert Dale Kearney (Theresa) ; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. Also surviving are his brothers, Maurice Kearney (Judy), and Larry Kearney (Barbara).
A graveside funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, in the Kearney Family Cemetery with Pastor Spencer Strickland and Maurice Kearney officiating.
