A. DAYLON INSCOE
October 27, 1943 - March 16, 2025

LOUISBURG, NC -- Albert Daylon Inscoe was born on October 27, 1943, to the late Preston and Pearl Inscoe, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on March 16, 2025.

A graveside memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Maple Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Averette officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Daylon lived in Louisburg, North Carolina, with his cherished wife of 55 years, Bonnie. Together, they built a life full of love and raised two wonderful sons, Kevin and Brannon.

Daylon proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1968, and after his service, he enjoyed a 31-year career with Southern Bell, retiring in 1999.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Bonnie; his sons Kevin (wife Christy) and Brannon (wife Tori); his sister Audrey (husband David Fisher); and his beloved grandchildren, Ashley, Anderson, Benjamin, and Connor. Daylon was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela, and his parents, Preston and Pearl.

Spending time with his grandchildren brought Daylon immense joy, especially their overnight visits. He also loved bringing family and friends together for his annual Fourth of July pig picking creating memories that will be treasured by family and friends alike. A devoted sports fan, he enjoyed cheering for his grandchildren at their games and following UNC athletics.

The Inscoe family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Medi Home Health and Hospice for their support and care during Daylon's final days. A special and deeply personal thank you goes to Leslie Ann Pearce, whose private and compassionate care provided comfort, dignity, and unwavering kindness to Daylon and his family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Daylon's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Daylon was a treasured soul, deeply loved, and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
