LOUISBURG - Jeanette Murray Leonard, 78, of Louisburg, died Sunday afternoon.

Jeanette was a daughter of the late S.T. and Geneva B. Murray. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.D. Leonard; infant sister, Jacqueline Murray; brother, Tommy Murray.

Jeanette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a beloved friend to many. Jeanette was fortunate to be able to go on a cruise and to travel to many places. She enjoyed life to the fullest.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Saints Delight Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Jeanette is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Dena and Anthony Stone of Louisburg; Jeannine L. Pearce of Bunn; sons, G.W. Leonard and Kimmy Leonard, both of Louisburg; grandchildren, Brian Leonard, Daniel Leonard, Michael Leonard, Olivia Stone and Landon Pearce; great-granddaughter, Madison Leonard; and many special cousins.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Saints Delight Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 565 Firetower Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549.
