FRANKLINTON--Luther Beaufort "L.B." Tolbert, 82, of Franklinton died February 20, 2019 at his home. He was born on September 15, 1936 to the late Luther and Lilley Griffith Tolbert. In addition to his parents, L.B. was preceded in death by siblings, Tom Tolbert, Jaine Vaught, Geraldine Turner, Joyce Woolridge, Hassie Tolbert, and Pat Davis.

L.B. enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, camping and anything pertaining to the outdoors with his family. Also, he enjoyed playing games and could fix anything. He was a prankster and enjoyed making people laugh. L.B. was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. His favorite quote was: "Time Heals All Wounds."

L.B. is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patsy Gainey; his daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon T. Dannelley (Clay), Janet T. Yarborough (Danny), and Pamela T. Lohrey (David); a son, Mark A. Tolbert; grandchildren, Jessica Skinner, Reaghan Skinner, Kristian Tolbert, Kiera Tolbert, Savanna Lohrey, Jaime Lohrey, Jacob Campbell; great grandchild, Kyleigh Hillery; a brother, Wayne H. "John 'D'" Tolbert; and his faithful dog, Buddy.

The family will receive friends at L.B. and Patsy's home on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Franklinton Baptist Church, 102 West Mason Street, with the Reverend David Averette officiating.
