TEXAS -- Betty Jeanne Moore Leonard, 90, of New Braunfels, Texas entered into eternal peace with our Lord and Savior on March 14, 2025.

She was born on September 25, 1934 in Prince Edward, VA to the late Floyd Ernest and Jessie Mae Brisentine Moore. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Roger Irvin Leonard.

She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker, living most of her life in Centerville, NC. Later in life, she worked at Best Grill where she enjoyed cooking and socializing with the locals and visitors passing through our small hometown. She was a longtime member of Centerville Baptist Church, Louisburg, NC.

Betty moved to Red Oak, NC in 2002 to live near her daughter and later, she joined Red Oak Baptist Church. In 2016, she moved to New Braunfels, Texas with her daughter and son-in- law. She was cared for and loved by so many family and friends including Silver Tree Nursing and Rehab.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Donna Leonard Pair and her husband, Scott D. Pair of New Braunfels, Texas; her son, Dale Glenn Leonard of Louisburg, NC; and her granddaughter, Maggie Grace Leonard, Elm City, NC.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 21, 2025 at Centerville Baptist Church fellowship hall from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 21, 2025 at Centerville Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Moore officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Askew Funeral and Cremation Services, 731 Roanoke Avenue, Roanoke Rapids, NC, 27870.
