CASTALIA - Funeral services for Aleatha “Al” Perry, 54, who died Sunday, April 26, 2009, were conducted Friday, May 1, at Serupta Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Luther Alston officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Surviving: husband, Donnell Perry of the home; daughters, ChristiĆ” Strickland of Rocky Mount and Parthenia Harris of Spring Hope; sisters, Bettie Jean Alston of Baltimore, Md., Barbara Alston and Emma Jones, both of Nashville, Brenda Green of Castalia and Maxine Stallings of Louisburg; brothers, Melvin Alston of Castalia, Pryor Earl Alston Jr. of Warrenton and Johnnie Lee Alston of Bunn; and 10 grandchildren.
