ZEBULON - Stacey Gray Williams, 78, died Friday, May 1, 2009 at his home. Funeral services were Monday, May 4, at Pilot Baptist Church, Zebulon, with Dr. Alfred Wright and the Rev. David Kite officiating. Burial was in the Williams family cemetery, Clyde Pearce Road, Zebulon, with military honors.

He was born in Franklin County to the late Sonnie Floyd Williams and Ona Alice Bunn Williams. He worked for many years with Kerr Drugs as a receiving supervisor before retiring. After retirement, he worked at Kenly Auto Auction and Capital Auto Auction. He was a member of Vision Baptist Church.

Surviving: wife, Linda Murphy Williams; children, Myra W. Davis (Alan) of Raleigh, Jan Wilder (Frank) of Zebulon, Joy Wright (Larry) of Zebulon, Phyllis Shearin (Barry) of Charlotte, Michael G. Williams of Burlington; sister, Anne W. Riker of Zebulon; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Forrest, Max, Burdon and Duane, and his sister, Faye.
