BENNY L. “BEN” BAKER
LOUISBURG - Bennie Louis “Ben” Baker, 59, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at his home. Funeral services were conducted Friday, July 21, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service chapel, Knightdale, with the Revs. Doug Lain and Robert A. Piper Sr. officiating.

An service will be at 10 a.m. today (Saturday, July 22) at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh.

He was born in Wake County to the late Garland Baker and Dorothy Belvin Baker. He worked as a self-employed paint contractor and a courier with CTS Express.

Surviving: his wife, Betty Medlin Baker; daughters, Cathy Griner (Doug) of Wendell, Denise Taylor (Mike) of Garner; son, Kenneth Baker (Toni) of Garner; four stepsons; brothers, David Baker of Raleigh and Larry Baker of Fuquay-Varina; sisters, Patricia Earp and Linda Champion of Knightdale, and Brenda Wilson of Louisburg; seven grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Baker.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tender Loving Care Hospice, 1937 NC Highway 39 North, Louisburg, NC 27549.
