CHARLES E. MEDLIN
DURHAM - Charles Edward Medlin, 66, died Saturday, May 16, 2009. A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, May 20) at Duke Memorial United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Roger Owens and Ginger Thomas presiding. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.

Born in Franklin County, he was the son of Annie Bell Morrison and the late John David Medlin. A graduate of Chowan College, he was a sales associate with Triangle Communications.

Surviving: wife, Catherine Noell Medlin; daughter, Lynn Marie Medlin of Hampton, Va.; sons, Joseph Keith Medlin (Michelle) of Clayton, John Keith Medlin (Kelly) of Graham, Mark Noell Medlin (Caroline) of Greensboro; mother, Annie Bell Morrison of Wake County; sister, Marie Baker of Raleigh; brother, John David Medlin Jr. of Raleigh; and six grandchildren.
