RALEIGH - Cheryl Mickey Wilson, 54, died Monday May 25, 2009 at Duke Hospice Hock Family Pavilion in Durham. A memorial service honoring her life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 28, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest, with the Rev. Bill Haley officiating.

She was born in High Point, daughter of Billie Ann Slate and Bobbie Joe Mickey.

Surviving: her husband, Chuck Wilson of Youngsville; son, Trey Wilson (Kim) of Durham; daughter, Brooke W. Goodwin (Andrew) of Creedmoor; mother and father, Billie Ann Mincey and Bobbie Joe Mickey; sister, Leigh M. Smith of Youngsville; stepsisters, Sherry Mincey Poole of Raleigh and Carolyn Mincey Powell of Emerald Isle; and one granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Richard Franklin Mickey and Nannie Ruth Mickey; maternal grandparents, Bill and Daisy Slate; and her stepfather, Leslie Thomas Mincey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hock Family Pavilion Duke Homecare & Hospice, 4023 North Roxboro Rd., Durham, NC 27704.

Friends may visit with the family from 7-8:30 tonight (Wednesday May 27) at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 South Main St., Wake Forest.
