CAROLYN J. TARLTON
ZEBULON - Carolyn Johnson Tarlton, 64, died Friday, July 10, 2009 as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at Central Baptist Church, 11109 Poole Road, Wendell, with the Rev. Ed Rose, senior pastor, and the Rev. Nathan Reddinger, pastor and family friend, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She was born in Wilmington to the late David John Johnson and Neva Beulah Pulley Johnson. She worked for 32 years with Omark Industries, which later became Blount Industries in Zebulon.

Surviving: husband, Joseph Harold “Joe” Tarlton; son, Joseph Harold “Joe” Tarlton Jr. (fianceĆ©, Wendy Michell Eggers) of Zebulon; brothers, Kenneth John “K.J.” Johnson (Beth) of Zebulon and David Michael Johnson of Zebulon; sister, Joy Johnson Wichard (Wendell) of Zebulon.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 7 to 9 tonight (Wednesday, July 15) at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, and other times at the home.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Carolyn’s memory to her church, Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 11109 Poole Road, Wendell, NC 27591.
