STELLA T. YOUNG
KITTRELL - Stella Talbert Young, 99, died Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, July 18) at Plank Chapel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Carol Dean. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.

She was born in Kannapolis, the daughter of the late John Talbert and Margaret Knowles Talbert, and was the widow of E. O. Young Jr. She was a retired financial secretary from Vance Senior High School.

Surviving: son, E. O. Young III (Bobbi) of Kittrell; daughters, Nancy Young Noel of Henderson and Margaret “Peggy” Young Bryan (Bill) of Kure Beach; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive  friends Saturday following the service at the home of Nancy Noel, 514 Woodland Road.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church for ACTS or the Emergency Shelter for Men, P. O. Box 75, Henderson, NC 27536.

Arrangements are by J.M. White Funeral Home.
