LINDA M. BRYANT
RALEIGH - Linda Murphy Bryant, 67, died Thursday, July 30, 2009 at her home. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Aug. 1) at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2100 Noble Road, Raleigh, with the Rev. Buddy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Ridge Baptist Church cemetery, 865 Pine Ridge Road, Zebulon.

She was born in Franklin County to the late James Clemon Murphy and Grace Arnold Murphy. She graduated from Bunn High School and retired as a teacher’s assistant with Wake County Schools.

Surviving: husband, Douglas Ray Bryant; sons, Scott Douglas Bryant (Lisa), Jeffrey Ray Bryant (Cathy), all of Raleigh; brother, Charles Murphy of Colliers, W. Va.; sisters, Betty M. Rogers and Alice M. Johnson, both of Youngsville; and three grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, James Clemon Murphy Jr. and Thomas Gray Murphy.

The family will receive relatives and friends from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church on Saturday and other times at the home.

Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Arthritis Foundation, Carolinas Chapter, 200 E. Woodlawn Road, Suite 156, Charlotte, NC 28217.
