IRENE P. RAY
WAKE FOREST - Irene Mae Poole Ray, 92, died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006 at Hillside Nursing Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Aug. 5) in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, Wake Forest. Burial will follow in the Free Will Baptist Cemetery.

She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Minnow Allen Poole and Frank Poole. Mrs. Ray was married to the late Albert Willis Ray.

Surviving: her daughters, Bonnie King of Youngsville, Star Faye Tucker of Henderson, Kathleen Ennis of Durham and Cozie Shearon of Wake Forest; sons, Jack Ray of Charlotte, Mack Ray of Henderson and Ronnie Ray of Wake Forest; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ray was also preceded in death by her children, J.T. Ray, Edna Ray, Lula Mae Ray, Emma Jean Faucette, Ozie Holbrook, Cecil Ray, Carmel Ray, and baby twin boys, Ronald and Donald Ray; three sisters and one brother.
