KATHERINE ALMA KEARNEY FREEMAN
FRANKLINTON - Katherine Alma Kearney Freeman, 49, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009 at her residence.

 Kathy’s spirit is at rest in Heaven after battling Cancer the past 2 and a half years.

She will be remembered as a Loving Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Friend, RN, Graduate of Franklinton High School, Graduate of Vance- Granville Community College, Assoc. Degree RN Nurse.

She is survived by her husband, Albert Freeman; sons, Derrick and Nathan Freeman; parents, Henry Hal Kearney and Faye Ellington Kearney; sister, Alisa Medlin, wife of Tim Medlin, mother of Ethan Medlin; sister, Sharon Jones, wife of Mike Jones, mother of Bridgette Jones and Chloe Jones; grandmother, Pearl Ellington, all of Granville and Franklin County.

All family resides in Granville and Franklin County.

 Memorial Services will be held Sunday, September 27, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at Popes Chapel United Church of Christ, 1237 Pocomoke Rd., Franklinton, NC 27525.

Memorial contributions may be made to a Hospice of one’s choice.

The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the memorial service
