HARVEY PEARCE JR.
GRAHAM - Harvey Pearce Jr., 78, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at the Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Burlington. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 30) at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington, with the Rev. Denny Wall, pastor of Hico Baptist Church, and Dr. Tommy Willis, pastor of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.

A native of Franklin County, he was the son of Harvey V. Pearce Sr. and Virginia Shadrach Pearce, both deceased. He was a retired district manager for Eastern Auto Distributors of Virginia and a member of Hico Baptist Church.

Surviving: wife, Margaret Arnold Pearce; daughters, Sue Pearce of Wilmington, Barbara P. (Doug) Fox of Burlington; son, Robert Pearce (Brenda) of Mebane; sister, Ann P. (M.C.) New of Rocky Mount; brothers, Willard (Jean) Pearce of Chesapeake, Va., Bobby (Marjorie) Pearce of Fife, Va., and Michael (Lois) Pearce of Rocky Mount.

He was preceded in death by his first great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service, Burlington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
