JACOB ANTON ZIMMERMANN and ETHAN LUCAS ZIMMERMANN
Jacob and Ethan came into this world earlier than expected on September 13th, 2009.  They were born at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.  Jacob, born at 1 lb., 3 oz., lived very briefly after he was born, and his brother, Ethan, only 12 oz. and the smallest baby to make it past birth at Bethesda, fought for 36 hours in the NICU before returning to heaven.  They touched the lives of everyone they encountered in their short time and were greatly loved by their mother and father.

The boys are survived by their mother and father, Andrea and Joseph Zimmermann of Quantico, Virginia; grandparents, Jeff and Lisa Lawrence of Franklinton and Frank and Leigh Zimmermann of Wake Forest.

A service to honor their lives will be held at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Franklinton, NC on Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a fund through Wachovia. The Jacob and Ethan Memorial Fund will benefit other families who have babies in the NICU at Bethesda.  Checks may be made payable to the parents, Joseph and Andrea Zimmermann.
