BOBBY GRAY MURPHY
CASTALIA - Bobby Gray Murphy, 67, of Castalia, died Thursday, October 8, 2009, at Franklin Regional Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from Red Bud Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Celia Murphy; son, Brantley Murphy and wife, Teresa, of Castalia; brother, Clyde W. Murphy, Sr. and wife, Faye, of Castalia; sisters, Jean M. King and husband, Johnny, of Greensboro, Dawn M. Gupton and husband, Jimmie, of Louisburg; grandchildren, Betsy Murphy and Curtis Murphy. 

He was preceded in death by his, brother, W.C. Murphy, and many nieces and nephews. 

The family received friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Red Bud Baptist Church Building Fund, 832 NC Hwy 58, Castalia, NC  27816.  The flag in front of the funeral home flies at half-staff in honor of Mr. Murphy’s service to his country where he served in the Air Force.
