PAIGE B. HICKS
June 5, 1929 – October 9, 2009
LOUISBURG – Paige Bunn Hicks, 80, of Louisburg, died Friday afternoon at Louisburg Nursing Center.

Paige was the daughter of the late A.L. “Lee” and Denaize Meade Bunn. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gerald Bunn, George “Jolly” Bunn and Leherald Bunn.

She was known throughout the county as always engaging in a lively conversation about most any subject and having genuine concern for others. She worked many years at Quality Dry Cleaners and most recently, prior to retirement, at Village Cleaners. She was a past volunteer and Cub Scout Den Mother.

A graveside service was conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, October 12, at Oakwood Cemetery in Louisburg.

Paige is survived by her son, Robert “Bob” Hicks, Jr. and wife Wendy of Greensboro; stepdaughter, Patricia H. Lane of Fair Bluff, NC; sisters, Betsy Bowen and husband Ted of Henderson, Denaize “Clint” Chaney of Williamsburg, VA; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family received friends 4 – 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin St. Louisburg.
