THOMAS A. HARMON JR.
RALEIGH - Thomas Alvin Harmon Jr., 82, died  Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009. Funeral service was Tuesday, Dec. 22, in the Mitchell Funeral Home  chapel. Interment followed at Montlawn Cemetery.

He was born in Raleigh, to Thomas Alvin Harmon Sr. and Janie S. Harmon. He was a member of Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro and worked for the Frito-Lay company for over 30 years.

Surviving: his daughter, Donna Gurley (Dennis) of Louisburg; son, Thomas Alvin Harmon III (Dee Ann) of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters, Naomi Cox, Ann Larsen (Ralph), Vallie Phillips (Grady), and Nancy Riddle; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Harmon, one sister and one brother.
