RICHARD A. KURYLA
WAKE FOREST - Richard Alan Kuryla, 65, formerly of Lafayette, N.Y., died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009 at his home. A Mass of Christian burial was held Wednesday, Dec. 23, at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, with Father Philip Tighe officiating.

He was born in Syracuse, N.Y., the son of the late Helen and Edward Kuryla. He was retired from Carrier Corp, where he was a welder.

Surviving: wife, Carol Niederhofer Kuryla; daughters, Kas’ka Jones (Corley) of Zebulon, Karen Perez-Kuryla (Carlos) of Youngsville; sons, Thomas Kuryla (Melicent) of Wake Forest, Travis Kuryla (Rosmari) of Franklinton; brother, Edward Kuryla of Mattydale, N.Y.; and nine grandchildren.

Donations may be made to Hospice of Wake County Fund, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
