SARAH W. UNDERHILL
LOUISBURG – Sarah Wilder Underhill, 87, died Thursday morning, Dec. 31, 2009. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at Rock Spring Baptist Church, with the Rev. Melton Tyson and Dr. Carl Poole officiating.

She was the youngest and the last living of 10 children of the late John and Minnie Wilder. She was a nurse for Dr. Bill Perry in the 1940’s and 1950’s and was a member of Rock Spring Baptist Church.

Surviving: husband Eugene C. Underhill; daughter, June Havens (George); two grandchildren;  and one great-granddaughter.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Rock Spring Baptist Church, Building Fund, 34 Rock Spring Church Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549.

Arrangements handled  by Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
