JAMES T. WINN
CREEDMOOR - James Travis Winn, 66, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006 at Duke Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Aug. 29, at First Baptist Church in Creedmoor by Dr. Tom Jenkins. Burial was in Liberty Christian Church cemetery in Epsom.

A native of Franklin County, he was the son of the late Blount and Lillian Winn. He was retired as director of engineering and product development at AUX Corporation, formerly Corning Glass Works.

Surviving: his wife, Edith Ann Pierce Winn; children, Travis Winn (Christine) of Hickory, Joyce Miles (Doug) of Raleigh, Janice Stafford of Raleigh, Robert Bristow (Joanne) of Davidsonville, Md.; brothers, Lee and Edward; sister, Joanne; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

A son, Phil Stafford, preceded him in death.

Arrangements by Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor.
