HENRY F. HOLMES
FRANKLINTON —Henry Franklin Holmes, 84, died Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Brantwood Nursing Center, Oxford. A funeral service was held Monday, March 29, at Franklinton Baptist Church. Burial followed in Fairviw Cemetery.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Irene Perkinson Holmes and Herbert Graham Holmes. He was a veteran of the U. S. Arny and retired as manager with Piggly Wiggly.

Surviving: wife, Adell Bailey Holmes; sons, Johnny Holmes (Carolyn) of Franklinton and David Holmes (Trish) of Raleigh; sisters, Nell Cyrus of Franklinton and Dorothy Newton of Creedmoor; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Franklinton Baptist Church, 108 West Mason St., Franklinton, NC 27525.
