JAMES A. KELLY
FRANKLINTON-James Alton “Jimmy” Kelly, age 65, a resident of 275 Garner Road, died Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Duke Raleigh Hospital.  Born in Vance County on December 31, 1944, he was the son of the late Wesley Alton Kelly and Ruth Abbott Kelly.  He was retired from Saint Gobain Containers, Inc.

A memorial service was held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Seth Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Williams Kelly, of the home; one daughter, Ruth Anne K. Stevenson and husband, Russell, of Henderson; one son, James Edward “Eddie” Kelly and wife, Gail, of Raleigh; two stepdaughters, Wanda Gaither of Clayton and Patricia Owen and husband, Jimmy, of Warrenton; one stepson, Allen Woodlief and wife, Patricia, of Warrenton; one brother, Wesley Kelly and wife, Bertha, of Glenn Allen, Virginia; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

The family received friends Tuesday from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. at J. M. White Funeral Home.  At other times they were at the home of Ruth Anne and Russell Stevenson at 356 Carey Chapel Road, Henderson, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.
