FRANKLINTON- Robert MacDonald “Baldy” Greene Sr., 63, died Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Wake Medical Hospital in Cary. A celebration of life was held Tuesday, April 6, at Mitchiner’s Grove Baptist Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. Melvin Jackson officiating. Interment was in Concord Missionary Baptist Church cemetery, Kittrell.
He was born in Franklinton to the late William Henry and Callie Lee Greene. He was a graduate of B.F. Person Albion High School of Franklinton. He was employed at the Saint Gabian Containers Glass Company of Henderson for more than 40 years.
Surviving: wife, Pattie D. Greene of the home; son, Robert Greene Jr. (Carolyn) of Youngsville; daughter, Marquita Hawkins (Darnell) of Wake Forest; brother, Preston (Janice) Greene; sister, Martha Ann of Norfolk, Va.; and three grandchildren.
