MARIE M. BASS
December 11, 1923 – April 17, 2010
LOUISBURG – Marie Moon Bass, 86, of Louisburg, formerly of Nashville, died Saturday afternoon.

Marie was a daughter of the late Henry Thomas and Annie Bell Pearce Moon and was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Bass, and her infant son, Larry Glen Bass.

A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Forest Hills Cemetery in Nashville, with the Rev. Rhonda Maurer officiating. The family received friends immediately following the service.

Marie is survived by her sister, Lula M. Shearin of Louisburg; niece, Deb Shearin and her husband, Alan Liggon, of Lucama; nephew, Jimmy Shearin of Louisburg; brother-in-law, Charles L. Bass and his wife, Margaret, of Nashville; nieces, Alva Ann Bass of Marshville, Jennifer Dunn of Winston-Salem; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers. memorials may be made to Hill King United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 1897 NC 39 Hwy. S., Louisburg, NC 27549.
