December 11, 1932 – July 25, 2010
LOUISBURG –  Bobbie Jo Carnes, 77, of Louisburg, died Sunday morning at her home.

Bobbie Jo was the daughter of the late Urbane Aaron and Willie Mae Linkus.

Bobbie Jo was a loving wife and mother.  She had an active life of service to her family, her community and her country. She was active in the Louisburg United Methodist Church Choir and Louisburg United Methodist Pre-School Ministry. 

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Louisburg United Methodist Church with Rev. Madison Hankal and Rev. Earl Dulaney. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Bobbie Jo is survived by her husband, James R. (Jim) Carnes; son and daughter-in-law, James Ray Carnes, Jr (Deborah) of Seattle, WA, Jon Eric Carnes, Apex; brothers, Urbane Aaron (Shirley), Burl David Aaron (Jerri) of Dallas, TX and Billy Ray Aaron (Joyce), Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Sarah Sellers, Temple, TX , Terry Lynn Hupprich, Peoria, IL; grandchildren, James Ray Carnes III, Rachel Marie Carnes, Christopher Gordon Carnes, Daniel David Carnes; and a special niece,  Cmdr. Sue Ann Larkin (USN), Bethesda, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Louisburg United Methodist Church or Louisburg United Methodist Church Pre-School, P.O. Box 667 Louisburg, NC 27549.

The family received friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin St., Louisburg and other times at the family home.
