BRYANT H. WILLIAMS JR.
WENDELL - Bryant Henry Williams Jr., 90, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2010 at his residence. Funeral service was Friday, Aug. 6, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service chapel, Knightdale. Burial was in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Clayton.

He was born in New Hanover County to the late Bryant Henry Williams Sr. and Georgia Duncan Williams. He was a self-employed front-end and frame mechanic. He served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II and was decorated with nine medals.

Surviving: wife, Virginia Hall Williams; sons, Bryant Williams III (Jackie) of Roxboro, Timothy Ray George (Debbie) of Youngsville; daughters, Phyllis Ann Strickland of Smithfield, Frances Wilcher (John) of Wellford, S.C.; sister, Doris W. Hamilton of Swansboro seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter and sisters, Ruby Hamilton, Margaret Lee and Lois Benton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 3200 Atlantic Avenue, Suite 100, Raleigh, NC 27604.
