LULA ELIZABETH PEARCE CASH
LOUISBURG - Lula Elizabeth Pearce Cash, 93, of Louisburg, died Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Hillside Nursing Center. She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Annie Wheeler Pearce and S. Talmadge Pearce. Mrs. Cash was a long-time member of Flat Rock Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and helped with Vacation Bible School for many years and was a charter member of William B. Barrow Chapter #39 Order of the Eastern Star.

She will be remembered for her kindness, her giving, gentle spirit, her generous heart, her Christian life and for her love for her family, church and community. “Miss Lib” and her husband Fred owned and operated Cash’s Grocery Store for over 30 years.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, September 5, 2010 at Flat Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary McNair and the Rev. J. Lamar Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery followed by a reception in the church fellowship hall.

Mrs. Cash is survived by her daughters, Patricia C. Helmink of Raleigh and Darlyne E. Cash of Louisburg; sister, Sophia P. Ferguson of Raleigh; granddaughters, Allison L. Ayscue of Clayton and Ashley E. Ayscue of Apex. She leaves behind cherished memories with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred C. Cash and by her brother, Woodrow F. Pearce.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Flat Rock Baptist Church Building Fund, 1529 Flat Rock Church Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.

Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening September 4, 2010 at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest. (919-556-5811)
