THELMA J. GRIFFIN
WAKE FOREST —Thelma Eleanor Jones Griffin, 96, formerly of Louisburg, died Saturday Sept. 25, 2010 at Hillside Nursing and Rehab Center in Wake Forest. A private interment will be held at a later date.

She was born in Vance County, the daughter of the late David Hampton Jones and Julia Finch Jones. After graduating from Aycock High School in Henderson, she married William Overton Griffin, also of Vance County. They made their home in Onslow County
Surviving: daughters, Betty Solomonson of Alexandria, Va., and Sandra Hoffman (Connie) of Pensacola, Fla.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.; one niece and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her husband and by her son, William Griffin, Jr.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 200 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
