ODELLE B. TAYLOR
FRANKLINTON - Odelle Barwick Taylor 90, of Franklinton, (formerly of Seven Springs, NC) died Friday, September 24, 2010.  She was  preceded in death by her husband, H. Ray Taylor, Sr.; her parents, Ben and Penny Barwick of Seven Springs, NC; sisters,  Ruth Benton and Martha Raye Holland.

She is survived by her son, H. Ray Taylor, Jr. of Franklinton; her sister, Rena Mae Hardy of Seven Springs; one grandson, Thomas R Taylor (Ann) of Sophia, NC; two step-grandsons,  J. Alan Crane (Patti) of Franklinton, W. Bruce Crane (Jolyn) of Wake Forest; one step-granddaughter, Suzanne Carter (David) of Youngsville;  seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family received friends in the fellowship hall of Richland Creek Community Church, Burlington Mill Road, Wake Forest, from 7 to 9 pm Monday, September 27.

A memorial service was held at Holy Innocents  Episcopal  Church,  Seven Springs NC, at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 28. The family received friends immediately after the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, 6861 Hwy. 55, West,  Seven Springs, NC 28578.

Odelle was wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family.  She had a very strong faith and a great love for her Lord and His Word.  She was a lifelong member of Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, serving faithfully in many capacities. She was currently active in Richland Creek Community Church where she attended with her son.
