CATHERINE W. WINSTON
YOUNGSVILLE - Catherine Wade Winston, 89, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006 in a Raleigh hospital. Funeral services were conducted Friday, April 7, at Youngsville Baptist Church, with the Rev. Glenn Greenway and the Rev. Charles D. Stratton officiating. Burial followed in the Youngsville cemetery.

She was the daughter of the late James Albert Wade and Jacqueline Pointer Wade. She was retired from the N.C. Department of Transportation with 33 years of service.

Mrs. Winston was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Clifton Winston Sr.

Surviving: a daughter, Frances Winston Kinlaw of Shalimar, Fla.; a son, Francis Clifton Winston Jr. (Camille) of Wake Forest; sister, Mildred W. Henderson of Leesburg; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Irene Mitchell Park, c/o Mrs. John R. Cyrus, or to the Youngsville Home Demonstration Club.
