ELIZABETH W. “BETH” CONNELL
YOUNGSVILLE (Wake Forest) - Elizabeth Wilmer Connell, 74, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011 at Wake Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday Feb. 20, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harold Woodlief officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

She was born in Charlotte, the daughter of the late Elizabeth Melanye Green Wilmer and William August Wilmer; she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas C. Connell.

She was an entrepreneur throughout her life, with her most recent company being Handy Hands Services of 23 years.

Surviving: daughters, Lori Elizabeth Swope-Ficarra (Steve) of Atlanta; Tammy Sabitsch (Jim) of Wake Forest; sons, Mike Massey of Zebulon, Chris Massey (Janit) of Wilton; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; partner, Larry Dail of Youngsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.

Friends may visit with the family 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening Feb. 19, at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest, NC.
