JOHN “CADILLAC” WILLIAMS JR.
ROCKY MOUNT - John Williams Jr.,  78, died Friday, March 25, 2011.  Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 30, at Word Tabernacle Church in Rocky Mount. Burial followed at Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery in Rocky Mount.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Elder Johnnie Williams and Fannie Jackson Williams. He was a Korean War veteran and worked at Kraft Seaboard Foods until 1997.

Surviving: daughter, Jacqueline W. Jenkins of Rocky Mount; sons, Jahnmaud Lane of Raleigh and Jonathan Lane of Louisburg; sisters, Geneva Horsley and Minnie Williams of Charlotte; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two special nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Frederick and Vincent Williams; brothers, Themus,  Saul and Raymond Williams and Nathaniel Perry; sisters, Dollie, Mary, Mazola Williams, Dorothy Ellis and Annie Bass.
