EDNA S. TURNER
WAKE FOREST - Edna Smith Turner, 73, died Friday, April 8, 2011. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, April 12, at Union Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Donnie Cash and the Rev. Robert Boone officiating. Entombment followed in the Turner family cemetery in Castalia.

She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Waylon and Zula Pearce Smith. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church and was married to John D. Turner, who preceded her in death.

Surviving: son, John D. Allen Jr. of Wake Forest; sisters, Janie Harp of Wake Forest, Deborah Weaver of Whitakers and Betty Terrell of Mebane; brothers, Roy Smith, Russell Smith, Steve Allen and Edward Allen of Wake Forest and Wayne Smith of Clayton; and two grandchildren.

Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Union Grove Baptist Church, 1709 Baptist Road, Durham, NC 27703
