W. WORTH PEARCE
WAKE FOREST - William Worth Pearce, 100, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Hillside Nursing Center. A celebration of the long life of Mr. Pearce was held Wednesday, April 13, at Woodland Baptist Church, with the Rev. Rodney Harp officiating. Burial followed in the Mangum family cemetery.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of Alice and Charlie Pearce. He was an active dairy farmer at Mangum’s Dairy, and was a member of Woodland Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School, Baptist Training Union and was a deacon.

Surviving: daughters, Patsy Lee Whitt (Marvin) of Raleigh and Karen Worth Wyan of London, Ky.; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Burma Lee Mangum Pearce, and his second wife, Lorene O’Neal Lowery Pearce.

Flowers welcome or memorial contributions may be made to the Woodland Baptist Church, Building Fund, 190 Woodland Church Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
