MARGARET B. DALE
RALEIGH - Margaret Broughton Dale, 88, formerly of Raleigh, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at her daughter’s home in Raeford. Private graveside services will be held Saturday at Raleigh Memorial Park.

She was born in Hertford to the late Harry T. and Julia Chalk Broughton. She was a graduate of East Carolina University and taught school after graduating for several years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert P. Dale; brother, Harry Broughton; and a sister, Julia Rivet.

Surviving: daughter, Julianne D. Ragsdale (Gordon) of Raeford; sons, Barry B. Dale (Lisa) of Raleigh, George F. Dale of Raleigh,  and Clark W. Dale (Holt) of Louisburg; brother, Howard Broughton (Pete) of Southern Pines; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Hoke County, NC
