WILLIE SUE T. LIGHTELL
HENDERSON - Willie Sue Travis Lightell, 67, died Saturday, May 7, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, May 11) at Flowers Funeral Chapel in Henderson, conducted by the Rev. Sam Brewer. Burial will follow in Island Creek Baptist Church cemetery.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin James Travis and Jessie Mae Privette Travis. She was the widow of Clarence Robert Lightell. She was a registered nurse with Comfort Health Care and attended Tungsten Baptist Church.

Surviving: son, Michael Robert Lightell of Louisburg; sisters, Betty Marie T. Nix of Tupelo, Miss., Virginia T. Taylor of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Shirley T. Blackmer of Ferrysburg, Mich.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred T. Ayscue, and two brothers, James Benjamin Travis and Vincent Travis.
