SAMUEL P. WINBORNE III
RALEIGH - Samuel Pretlow Winborne III, 60, of Louisburg and formerly of Raleigh, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011.  A celebration of life with his family will be held at the Historic Polk House, 537 N. Blount St., Raleigh on Saturday, May 14, from 2-5 pm.

Flowers are welcomed at 520 Cleveland St., Raleigh, NC 27605, or memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.

I knew Sam, as he called himself when he was a restoration carpenter -- or perhaps he was just putting me on! He had a great love and history and, I know, a great love of family. I will miss him as will many others. My sincere condolences to the family. Pete Andrews, Gold Sand
