MERLA J. CLINE
CHAPEL HILL - Merla Johnson Cline, 91, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Cedars Club House on Aug. 8 at 2 p.m.

She was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. B. C. Johnson. She graduated from Bunn High School and received a BS degree in social services from WCUNC, Greensboro. Her employment included teaching school for three years at Spring Hope High School, working in the Navy Department in Washington, D.C., for the Selective Services Department in Raleigh, and for the Social Security Offices in Raleigh, Fayetteville and Bunn.

Surviving: many cousins, nieces, nephews and grandnieces.

Memorial contributions may be made in Merla’s name to UNC Hospice, P. O. Box 1077, Pittsboro, NC 27312.
