DOROTHY MAE BELL LANIER “DOTTIE”
HILLSBOROUGH- Dorothy Mae Bell Lanier “Dottie,” 63, passed away on August 15, 2011 with her  husband  Quincy  by  her  side  at  their  home in Hillsborough. The daughter of the late Ed D. Bell Jr. and Dorothy Lee Pearce Bell, Dottie was born on November 3, 1947, and was a native of Franklin County.

Dottie was described as the greatest wife, mother, and me-ma in the entire world, and was an inspiration and role model to every person who was fortunate enough to make her acquaintance.

Dottie is survived by her husband of forty-three years, Quincy Lanier of the home; three daughters, Dorothy “Sue” Lanier Parsons and her husband Cam of Hillsborough, Sandy Lanier Wheeler and her husband Mike of Fayetteville, Carol Lanier Goehring and her husband Chris of Butner; five grandchildren, Shaelee Parsons, Ryan Parsons, Alexis Goehring, CJ Parsons, Scott Parsons; and two God Children, Chelsea and Christa Logsdon.

A funeral service will be held at the Chapel of Walker’s Funeral Home of Hillsborough on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park following the service.
