MARY L. THORP
YOUNGSVILLE - Mary Jane Leggett Thorp, 82, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011 at her home. A private memorial service was held Monday evening, Aug. 29, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

She was born in DeWitt County, IL, the daughter of the late John & Iva Stone Leggett. She was married to Fred C. Thorp, who preceded her in death.

Surviving: children, Steve Thorp and John Thorp of Youngsville, Maryland Thorp, Janet Michael, Wayne Thorp and Paul Thorp (Beth), all of Raleigh; sister, June Karr of Illinois; and brother, Vernon Leggett of Florida.
