WILLIAM H. HAGWOOD
RALEIGH - William Henry Hagwood, 76, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011 at Wake Medical Center. Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 29, at Oak Level Christian Church, with the Rev. Gary Williams officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Luther J. Hagwood and Aurelia Hudson Hagwood. He was a mess sergeant in the U.S. National Guard. He retired from Edwards & Broughton Printing/Craftsman Printing after 45 years of service.

Surviving: sons, Billy Hagwood of Durham and Robert Hagwood of Atlanta, Ga., and their families; sister, Margaret Houlder of Overland Park, Kan.; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eudean “Dean” Young Hagwood.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oak Level Christian Church, Deacon’s Fund, P. O. Box 216, Youngsville, NC 27596.
