Pauline Strickland Wall
RALEIGH - Pauline Strickland Wall, 84, passed away on Thursday morning, September 8, 2011. Born in Franklin County, Louisburg, NC, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Mattie Strickland.

Pauline was a loving cousin, sister-in-law and neighbor. She enjoyed a simple life of keeping her home and yard manicured. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her cousins,  Diana Crabtree, of Raleigh, Donald Wester and wife Janet, of Louisburg, Dorothy Wester Champion, of Louisburg, and Alice Wester Akkerman and husband Reydon, of Louisburg; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Edith and Laland Allen, of Garner, Topsy Coleman, of Garner, Emily and Donald Moore, of Apex; nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Pauline was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lewis J. Wall and also by her sister-in-law, Helen Phillips.

The family would like to thank the nurses and other caregivers at The Oaks of Mayview of Raleigh for the excellent care and compassion they showed for Pauline. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Parsons for all of his compassion during Pauline’s illness.

Family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 PM on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home (300 St. Mary’s Street). Family and friends will then process to Montlawn Memorial Park for Graveside Funeral Rites at 2:00 PM.

Flowers will be accepted; however, memorials may be made in Pauline’s name to the American Cancer Society - 8300 Health Park #10 - Raleigh, NC  27615.
