BOB REYNOLDS PEARCE
RALEIGH - Bob Reynolds Pearce, 80, passed away peacefully at Rex Healthcare on October 2, 2011 with his loving family by his side.  He was born September 4, 1931 in Franklin Co. to the late Urban Turner Pearce and Pauline House Pearce.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant daughter, Debra Jean Pearce, and three brothers; Urban Lynn, Charles and Joe Pearce.

Bob graduated from Edward Best High School in Louisburg and Coyne Electrical School in Chicago, IL. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, 1951-1954. He was a regional sales executive with TeleHealth Services, formerly known as Telerent Leasing Corp., and he retired after 38 years of service. 

Bob was a member of New Hope Baptist Church for 46 years where he served in many capacities.   

Bob was a lifetime member of the North Raleigh Optimist Club. He enjoyed traveling, being with his family, watching his grandchildren, square dancing, socializing with his friends, Duke basketball, playing golf with his sons, time spent with his daughter, and spending time with his wife.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 6, 2011 at New Hope Baptist Church, 4301 Louisburg Road, Raleigh, NC 27604. Burial will follow at Brier Creek Memorial Park, 7600 ACC Boulevard, Raleigh, NC 27617 with military honors.

Surviving: his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Shirley Thompson Pearce; daughter: Barbara P. Renie (Jim); sons, Keith Pearce (Sherri) and Scott Pearce, all of Raleigh; grandchildren, Katie Renie Austin and Hunter Pearce. Zack and Taylor Coble and Reynolds Pearce; sisters, Louise Jeffreys of Louisburg, Carolyn Strange of Cary and Peggy Tucker of Raleigh.

The Pearce family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC  27545.

In lieu of flowers. memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Baptist Church Debt Relief, 4301 Louisburg Road, Raleigh, NC  27604 or to Alzheimer’s of North Carolina, 1305 Navaho Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC  27609.
