GEORGE B. MURPHY
LOUISBURG - George Blackwell Murphy, 81, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at Louisburg Nursing Center.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m. at Louisburg United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

He was born the son of the late William Earl and Caroline Virginia Mason Murphy. 

Surviving: wife Jane Allan Murphy; daughter, Caroline Desda Murphy Ponton (Lance) of Waynesville, Rebekah Blackwell Murphy Mullinax (Richard) of Raleigh; one granddaughter and three grandsons.
