R. WADE HALFORD
WAKE FOREST — Richard Wade Halford, 22, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011 from injuries received in an auto accident. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, in the Auditorium of the Old Franklinton High School.

He was born in Memphis, Tenn. and was a 2007 graduate of Franklinton High School. He completed Officers Candidate School for the U.S. Marines in August and was scheduled to graduate from NC State University in December with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked with Williford Electric for the past five years.

Surviving: parents, Margaret & Scott Halford of Wake Forest; his brother, Taylor Halford of Wake Forest; grandparents, Joe & Vicky Writesman of Buck Snort, Tenn., and Susan & Carl Halford of Melbourne, Fla.; several aunts and uncles, 14 cousins; and countless friends and family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Franklinton High School Library, 910 Cedar Creek Road, Franklinton, NC 27525.

Friends may visit with the family from 6-9 Thursday evening at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest.
