EARNEST PERRY VALENTINE
MANASSAS, VA - Ernest Perry Valentine of Nokesville, VA passed away on November 14, 2011 at the age of 80.

Perry was one of eight children born to the late William Henry and Mabel (Rowe) Valentine  of Louisburg, NC, on April 27, 1931, and is survived by his siblings, Dovy May and her husband Elmo, Jessie Hunt, Claude Valentine, and Carl Valentine.

 Perry grew up in Louisburg, NC, later entering military service for the US Army.  He served in the Korean War, later serving as head cook at Walter Reed Army Hospital under President Eisenhower and his wife Maimie, who called upon him for special requests.  Post Army he spent most of his life in the car business serving the Baltimore area and Northern Virginia. 

Perry was united in marriage to Velia Rose, who preceded him in death, and is survived by their two daughters, Brenda Reynolds of Gainesville, VA, her husband Mark,  and Marsha Valentine of Nokesville, VA, her husband Benjamin Russ; and grandchildren, Olivia and Ava.

Other survivors include his son, Stewart Valentine of Pueblo West, CO,  grandchildren  Jeffrey and Jeana;  daughter Vickie O’Brien of Fayetteville, NC, and daughter Pamela McAllister of Manassas, VA, her husband Larry, and grandchildren Michael, Desiree, Deanna, Jessica, Kaylynn and Emmily.

 Perry is also survived by his stepchildren Michael Keeffe, and Linda of Azusa, CA, grandchildren Brian and Michael;  Deanna Keeffe of Hyattsville, MD, and grandson Raymond;  and Dennis Keeffe of El Segundo, California; and also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.

Perry enjoyed life and had a passion for race horsing, cars, and slot machines. 

He was so loved and will be greatly missed. 

Perry’s family will receive friends on Friday, November 18, 2011 from 10:00-11:00 AM  with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at Found and Sons Lee Funeral Chapel, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20109.

Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens.
